Ed Parsons refers to this, silly idea, its a bit like the dutch boy putting his thumb in the dyke, to prevent a tsunami coming his way at 500mph. Bad law, it will fail. Nice video on this:
Related article by Victor Keegan, which is bang on IMHO. My suggestion - invest in MIR tools. Ride with the tsunami, don't try and stop it. You can't.
